It is 30 years since scientists held their breath as they waited for news of the world's first test tube baby. When Louise Brown was born - so was IVF treatment.
Today, more than three million babies have been born around the world thanks to the technology which was pioneered in Britain.
Wow...three million babies born in 30 years through IVF! Did you think that number would be larger or smaller? I wonder how many of these three million IVF babies are egg donor babies? How many were carried by a gestational surrogate? How many are a combination of both? If you have the answer I know of a few people who would love to hear it!
