Press release
Seattle, WA (October 28, 2008)
Infertility Answers, Inc. joins forces with My Fertility Plan, an infertility consulting firm, and announces the launch of the 1st Annual International Infertility Haiku Contest on October 27, 2008.
“We understand infertility is a stressful and emotionally difficult situation. Identifying and expressing our emotions is just one of the ways we can cope. Researchers emphasize the importance of creative reflection, so Infertility Answers, Inc. has partnered with My Fertility Plan to create the competition open to anyone who has faced family-building challenges,” explains Sharon LaMothe Co Founder of Infertility Answers, Inc and the opinionated author of Surrogacy 101, the educational blog read by those interested in Third Party Family Building.
The contest is free and entrants may submit as many times as you wish. There will be four prizes awarded in both categories – Light-hearted and Serious. Entries must follow basic haiku guidelines –a three line poem, made up of only 17 syllables.
Sponsors who provide infertility-related services have generously donated cash prizes, gift certificates, and autographed books. “Our gracious sponsors understand the difficulties associated with infertility and were thrilled to find another way to offer encouragement and support,” adds Angie Best-Boss, President of My Fertility Plan, LLC.
Inaugural sponsors include Village Pharmacy, Conceiving Concepts, Clear Passage Therapies, Infertility Answers, Parents Via Egg Donation, Robert Terenzio, esq., and Pamela Madsen, blogger at thefertilityadvocate.com.
Entries will be accepted beginning Monday, November 4 through Monday, November 24th at noon, ET. Information on how to enter may be found at http://myfertilityplan.typepad.com/or www.InfertilityAnswers.net (on the events page).
