PVED is giving away in honor of NIAW two handmade quilts from an
amazing
quilt maker Ida Gatlin (my Italian mother in law) who runs a business called
"Bambino Village". Ida Gatlin and Bambino village have partnered with PVED
to create handmade quilts to give to our new PVED parents. We wanted to
make sure that our parents receive something lovely that helps them
normalize this whole process which can be incredibly overwhelming.
Please know each quilt was handmade with much care and love from 75 year old
hands! I hope you have many years of use and enjoy them as much as we do.
My son Nick still has his and he's going on 13 !
PVED is a non-profit organization that has been designed to and created to
provide an informational and supportive environment where parents and
parents-to-be can learn and share information about all facets of the egg
donation and surrogacy process. Our mission is to educate, support, and
empower families and individuals at any stage of the process who choose to
use egg donation to build a family. We provide support for thousands of
individuals who have created their families through egg donation and/or
surrogacy regardless of how that comes to be.
Whether it's due to being in a same sex relationship or the unwarranted
shame and embarrassment that often accompanies infertility, a large portion
of people within these groups feel isolated and disenfranchised from other
parenting groups. With the belief that every conception is valid and every
child is a miracle, PVED strives to empower through education, thus changing
the public perception of assisted reproductive technology. PVED.org
